How to allow Batch PDF Merger to work with antivirus/firewall software

Select your antivirus/firewall program

  1. Open the Norton Internet Security main window, click Settings.
  2. In the Settings window, in the left pane, click AntiVirus and SONAR Exclusions.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • In the Items to Exclude from Scans row, click Configure.
    • In the Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection row, click Configure.
  4. In the window that appears, click Add.
  5. In the drop-down list, select Folders or Files.
  6. In the Add Item dialog box, click the browse icon.
  7. In the dialog box that appears, select Batch PDF Merger to exclude from the scan.
  8. Click OK.
  9. In the Add Item dialog box, click OK.
  10. In the window that appears, click Apply, and then click OK.

  1. Open your McAfee application.
  2. Click Web and Email Protection.
  3. Click Firewall.
  4. Click Internet Connections for Programs drawer.

    NOTE: Depending on the version of the McAfee software you have installed, this may be called Program Permissions.

  5. Scroll to the bottom and click Add.
  6. Click Browse and locate Batch Pdf Merger.
  7. Select the application and click Open.
  8. Set the access type you want using the options in the Access drop-down menu.
  9. Click Save.
  • Open the AVG user interface.
  • Click Tools→Advance Settings.
  • Resident Shield→Exceptions.
  • Then Add Batch PDF Merger to be excluded from scans.
  1. Open application settings window.
  2. Select Protection on the left.
  3. Click the Trusted Zone button in the Exclusions block.
  4. Go to the tab Exclusion rules and click Add.
  5. Select an exclusion type in the Properties field: Object and/or Threat type. Select object and choose Batch PDF Merger to exclude.
